Bentley Continental GT Ice Race one-off revealed

A special Bentley Continental GT has been built to compete in the GP Ice Race in Zell am See in Austria.

In order for the Ice Race Continental to meet racing safety standards, the one-off car has been fitted with a rear roll cage, fire extinguisher, and Sparco racing seats with harnesses.

From the outside the most obvious modifications are the raised ride height, 15mm increase in track width and complementary wheel arch extensions, and the suite of Lazer high-performance lights.

There's also an eye-catching blue-to-white livery with mountain graphics, and front alloy wheels painted bright blue with the rear pair finished in black.

Given this Continental will be competing on a purpose-built ice track, it rides on a studded set of Pirelli Scorpion Ice Zero2 tyres.

Other changes include a custom Akrapovic exhaust system, and a unique roof rack with a pair of Bomber skis.

Like regular road-going versions of the Continental GT, the Ice Race car is powered by 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine with 467kW and 900Nm.

During this year's GP Ice Race, this special Continental will be driven by Junior World Rally Championship driver Catie Munnings.

The GP Ice Race includes two events: a standard racing section, and a skijoring competition where a skier — in this case Sven Rauber — is towed by car over a course made from snow and ice.
