2020 Fiat 500 pricing and specs: new Club variant enters

The top-of-the-range variant packs a heap of features.

The 2020 Fiat 500 has launched in Australia with a new variant, named the Club, priced from $23,250.

Featuring a long list of standard features, it comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, fixed glass roof with sunblind, DAB+ radio, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate control, and chrome front grille surround, rear bumper insert, and sill plates.

Plus leather, a choice of two interior options can be had; black fabric seats with white inserts and Bordeaux stitching, and white fabric seats with black inserts and white stitching.

You can also choose to coat your Club in the new Powder Pink exterior paint.

Adding to the top-of-the-range Club is the entry-level Lounge, with both variants sharing the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 51kW.

The Lounge hatch comes standard with a manual and dualogic automatic transmission, while the Lounge convertible and both Club specifications feature only the auto.

Standard features for both include a 7.0-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster display, voice command, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and daytime running lights.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer additional features in the new Fiat 500 line-up that delivers a new level of sophistication,” said Guillaume Drelon, Director, Brand & Product Strategy for Fiat. “The Fiat 500 is truly a fun expression of its owner and with new technology and aesthetic refinements, it’s never looked better.”

Sales in Australia of the 12-year-old Fiat 500 have been slowing gradually. Last year sales slid by 12.6 per cent and just 673 examples were reported as sold and the Fiat 500 now only has a 10 per cent care of the city-car segment.

The budget-priced Kia Picanto now accounts for four out of five (80 per cent) of all micro cars sold.

The Fiat 500 Club and Lounge are on sale now.
