The grille of what appears to be Ford's promised 'Baby Bronco' SUV has been leaked online, revealing details about its rounded lights ahead of its reveal.

Images posted on the Bronco6G forum show the black grille cutout, which has space for the letters BRONCO running through its centre.

It's quite curved, suggesting the nose of the smaller Bronco model – which could be branded Adventurer or Bronco Sport – won't be all straight lines and hard edges.

Based on the leak, expect to see oval-shaped headlights with LED surrounds leaking into the grille unit.

The car will be based on the Focus and Escape's platform when it launches. Leaked images from a dealer conference in Las Vegas during November 2018 showed what we believe to be the 'Baby Bronco', with a a range of blocky off-roading cues and a contrasting roof.

Although the latest leak is slightly different to the images from 2018 – the headlights have a more oval shape to them, and the grille says Bronco instead of Ford – it's not unusual for the styling details of cars to change between their conception and production.

Given it's based on the Focus and Escape platform, the smaller Bronco is likely to be powered by a range of 1.5- and 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbo-petrol engines.
