2013-19 BMW X6, X6 M recalled
BMW Australia has recalled the 2013-19 X6, over concerns about the car's ISOFIX child seat mounts.
According to the company, using the ISOFIX mounts and additional child seat supports on the car's floor can create fatigue fractures on the ISOFIX retaining brackets, causing them to crack around their welded points in the vehicle.
If the retaining bracket breaks, the ISOFIX seat mightn't be secured properly, increasing the risk of injury to children in an accident.
A total of 2251 cars are included in the recall – a VIN list is attached here.
BMW Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealership.
