Australian Internation Motorshow to exhibit motorsport greats

The Sydney Motor Show in October will feature a wide range of motorsport icons this year. Making up the presence will be Peugeot's 24 Hour Le Mans 908 car. Also on hand will be Bruce Garland's Isuzu D-MAX Dakar racer.

Peugeot's 908 racer is the car that won the 2009 Le Mans 24 Hour race at Circuit La Sarthe. The car will be central to Peugeot's stand, symbolising the company's dedication towards providing fuel efficient performance. There's also an Australian connection linked to this Le Mans winner; it was driven by David Brabham, along with co-drivers Alexander Wurz and Mark Gene. The car is equipped with a 515kW V12 diesel engine dispersing around 1200Nm worth of torque.

Whilst Bruce Garland's Isuzu D-MAX Dakar racer will be also prove a strong presence at the show. The car will drive in the Paris to Dakar Rally in 2011, after making its racing debut at the Australasian Safari in Western Australia in September. The car also features a powerful diesel engine, using a 3.0-litre four-cylinder which outputs 192kW of power and 630Nm of torque.

Don't forget you can buy your tickets to the Australian Motor Show right now for early-bird prices. The show will be on from October 15 to October 24 at the Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour, Sydney.
