2018 Peugeot 5008 recalled

A problem with the spare wheel mounting has forced a recall.

Peugeot has recalled the 2018 5008 SUV, over concerns the spare wheel could work loose and fall off the car.

According to the company, the spare wheel mountings might not have been tightened to specification, creating a risk the spare wheel will work loose and fall off.

If it drops onto the road while driving, it poses an accident or injury risk to the driver, occupants, and other road users.

A total of 159 cars are affected – a VIN list is attached here.

Peugeot will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.

Concerned owners can call 1300 304 077 for more information.
