2019 Holden Trailblazer and Colorado Storm revealed

Priced from $54,990 drive-away, the Trailblazer Storm is $2000 more expensive than the mid-spec Trailblazer LTZ on which it's based. Holden claims there's $3400 of extra equipment on board.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Storm is also $2000 more expensive than its equivalent LTZ model, priced at $53,990 drive-away. Holden says there's $4800 of extra gear on board.

The extra money gets you an LED light bar on the front, a black nudge bar, and unique badging on both models.

The word Trailblazer is spelled out across the front of the bonnet, and there's a body-coloured spoiler and a sportier diffuser down back on the seven-seat SUV.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Storm also gains roof rails, a bonnet protector, unique decals, and a damped soft-drop tailgate atop the LTZ.

The specification of the Trailblazer Storm closely mimics that of the Holden Colorado Storm special edition revealed in 2017.

Inside, the seats are trimmed in leather and heated, while the same 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system offered across the range features.

Like the wider Trailblazer and 4x4 Colorado ranges, the Storm will be offered with seven years of free scheduled servicing until December 31.

Power in the Storm comes from the same 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine as the wider Trailblazer/Colorado line-up, making 147kW and 500Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.

Four colours will be offered on Trailblazer; black, silver and white, while the Colorado also adds an Absolute Red hue.

The Trailblazer currently trails the Isuzu MU-X, Ford Everest and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the ute-based SUV segment, sitting on 2360 reported sales to date in 2019.

Despite declining sales in the Australian car market, Holden has managed to grow Trailblazer sales 7.7 per cent compared to the same point in 2018.

The four-wheel drive Colorado is sitting on 13,343 registrations to date in 2019, an incremental (1.4 per cent) decrease compared to last year's sales.

An update released in June brought about new variants and a range of accessory packs, along with a smattering of minor spec changes for the 2020 model year, as Holden pushes to keep it forefront of mind.
