Lexus has revealed the LS Inspiration Series, a celebration of its flagship sedan's 30th birthday, priced from $198,922 before on-road costs in Australia.
Based on the existing LS limousine, the Inspiration Series can be separated from the regular line-up by its 20-inch alloy wheels and the availability of 'Khaki Metal' green paint for the exterior.
Inside, the car is kitted out with chestnut-coloured semi-aniline leather trim and brown door fabric trim, along with laser-cut 'ornamentation'.
The dashboard is home to a special panel with the '30th Anniversary' badge engraved, backed by blue illumination.
As with the wider LS line-up, the Inspiration Series features a 12.3-inch infotainment system in the dashboard – now featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – along with a Mark Levinson sound system, and twin 11.6-inch entertainment screens for rear passengers.
The seats are heated and ventilated in both rows, while rear passengers are treated to 22-way power adjustment, electric sunshades, and a cooler box.
Power will come from a choice of twin-turbo V6 petrol engine or a hybrid powertrain, blending a V6 engine with an electric motor.
Along with the Inspiration Series, the LS line-up has been gently massaged for 2020. The standard safety suite on the LS Sports Luxury now includes lane-tracing assist capable of slowing the car in curves, while rear- and parking-speed autonomous emergency braking has also been added.
Finally, the entire range now have an updated adaptive variable suspension system, designed to keep the car's body flatter over bumps, while the rear suspension mounts are now liquid-filled to cut down on body vibrations.
Lexus claims the 2020 LS also features a smoother start/stop system.
