2016-19 Fiat Ducato recalled

A problem with the van's brake line retaining clip has forced more than 3700 vehicles back to the dealer.

Fiat Chrysler Australia has recalled the 2016-19 Fiat Ducato van, over concerns about the brake line retaining clip.

According to the company, the retaining clip might not be correctly be fixed to the clamping fastener on the firewall. That means the brake lines can rub against other mechanical parts and rupture, creating a risk of injury or accident to the driver and other road users.

A total of 3702 units are affected by the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Fiat Chrysler will contact owners of the affected vans and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest Fiat Professional dealership. The original recall notice is here.
