Lotus Cars Australia has revealed an exclusive limited-run model for our market – the Elise Cup 250 Bathurst Edition.
Capped at just six units, the Bathurst Edition is priced from $109,990 plus on-road costs, and features an array of special appointments compared to the 'standard' Elise Cup 250.
Externally, the Bathurst special is distinguished by its Monaco White paint, last seen on James Bond's Lotus Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me. The hardtop, front access panel and roll hoop cover are also finished in the special colour. The roll hoop cover is described as of the motorsport-grade T45 stainless steel variety.
Filling the arches are 16-inch front and 17-inch rear forged alloy wheels finished in black and wrapped in Yokohama Advan A052 rubber (195/50 front and 225/45 rear), complemented by a matte black transom, red rear wing uprights and 'Bathurst Cup 250' decals.
Inside, the Bathurst Edition scores carbon-fibre race seats, floor mats, red trim accents and Alcantara upholstery throughout. There's also a special built plate (1 of 6, 2 of 6 etc.) for added exclusivity.
Carryover specification from the base Elise Cup 250 includes a 181kW 1.8-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission with open-gate mechanism, good for a claimed 0-100 sprint of 4.3 seconds.
There's fully independent double wishbone suspension at all four corners, and an adjustable front anti-roll bar.
Specially tuned Bilstein dampers are 12 per cent firmer in terms of compression on the front axle compared to the Elise Sport 220, and 20 per cent firmer on rebound. The rear axle's compression is 9.0 per cent higher than the 220, while the rebound is a significant 30 per cent firmer.
In addition to the exclusive specification of the Bathurst Edition, buyers of the limited-edition Elise also get free entry to the next Lotus Bathurst track day on 5 February 2020.
"Lotus Cars Australia has built a strong enthusiast and track day community, and our Lotus-only Bathurst days are the centrepiece,” said Lee Knappett, Lotus Cars Australia managing director.
"In February 2019, over 100 cars and 150+ customers participated in our day and we decided to celebrate this with a special edition car."
The Elise Cup 250 Bathurst Edition is covered by Lotus's standard two year, 33,000km warranty with three years of roadside assistance and three years of complimentary scheduled servicing.
