Opel GTC Paris Concept

German car manufacturer Opel has announced it will show its sporty GTC concept car at the upcoming Paris motor show.

The GTC badge is already part of the Opel Astra model range but this concept takes the design of the sports hatch to new levels of styling and ‘cool’.

It’s a far more aggressive look than the current car and would seem more at home with Opel’s performance arm, OPC (Opel Performance Cars).

Reports from overseas suggest that the company may well reveal the Sport Coupe version of the Astra model, which is said to go on sale within the year.

Inspiration for the concept comes from the 1970’s book Jonathan Livingston Seagull and the line “And the speed was pure beauty” which is laser etched into the upholstery.
