2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35is flagship arrives in Australia
The range-topping BMW Z4 sDrive35is has made its official Australian debut today, bringing with it the fourth and most potent engine option available in the BMW roadster range.
The BMW Z4 sDrive35is features a modified twin-turbocharged straight-six engine - not to be confused with the single twin-scroll turbo engine used in other force-fed BMWs - coupled with a seven speed Sport Automatic dual-clutch transmission.
As has become the trend for models in the BMW line-up boasting the range-topping engine variant, the BMW Z4 sDrive35is features the unique M Sport package as standard offering aerodynamics kit, adaptive M suspension and 18” wheel alloys.

The award-winning straight-six twin turbo engine develops peak power of 250kW while peak torque stands at 450Nm at just 1,500rpm - increasing briefly to 500Nm during overboost - providing a level of spontaneity not usually experienced on a turbocharged engine.
At just 4.8 seconds to 100km/h from a standstill, the straight line performance of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is is on par with a six-speed manual BMW M3 Coupé - aided by the super quick shift times from the dual clutch transmission and launch control function.
Despite its performance, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are identical to that of the BMW Z4 sDrive35i which has 25kW less power - averaging fuel consumption of 9.0-litres per 100km and emitting just 210 grams of CO2 per kilometre in the EU test cycle.
The new BMW Z4 sDrive35is is available now in Australian BMW showrooms priced from $129,900 excluding dealer charges, stamp duty, statutory charges and on-road charges.
