2020 Mercedes-AMG GT pricing and specs

Mercedes-AMG has released pricing and specs for its updated two-door flagship, the GT.

As with the pre-facelift GT, the updated model is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 making 384kW and 670Nm in 'base' GT S guise. All that grunt is sent to the rear wheels through a Mercedes-AMG seven-speed '7G-DCT' transmission.

Standard equipment includes a leather interior with heated, electrically-operated seats, a sunroof, adaptive cruise control, a 10-speaker sound system, and a new all-digital instrument infotainment system blending a 12.3-inch instrument binnacle with a 10.25-inch central display.

Adaptive AMG suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, an adjustable exhaust, and carbon-ceramic brakes are also standard fit.

There's now a front-mounted camera, along with revised LED headlights, alloy wheels and paint colours to differentiate the updated GT from its predecessor.

Jumping to the GT C, available in Coupe and Roadster guise, bumps power to 410kW and torque to 680Nm. Compared to the GT S it gains AMG performance seats and an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel inside.

The AMG Dynamic Plus package is standard, bringing dynamic engine and transmission mounts, a sharper steering tune, and rear-wheel steering.

Finally, the range-topping GT R Coupe is powered by a 430kW/700Nm variation of the same bi-turbo V8 engine.

Along with an uprated chassis, more aggressive aerodynamics package and racier rolling stock, the range-topping GT gets the blacked-out Night Package for the interior. That means gloss black trim, leather and microfibre seat trim, and heating for the front seats.
