2020 Audi Q3 pricing and specs

Audi has revealed pricing and specs for the 2020 Q3, which goes head-to-head with the Lexus UX and Volvo XC40 in the fast-growing compact luxury SUV class.

Compared to the car it replaces, the new Q3 is a significantly bigger and higher-tech proposition. Two models will be offered, both powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine making 110kW and 250Nm.

It's mated with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, powering only the front wheels.

Audi says vehicles with 'quattro' all-wheel drive will follow in the second quarter of 2020.

In Audi speak, that powertrain makes it a 35 TFSI. The base car, the 35 TFSI S tronic, is priced from $46,400 before on-road costs.

Standard equipment includes autonomous emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, tyre pressure monitoring, and parking sensors with a rear-view camera.

It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and gets keyless entry and start, an electric tailgate, dual-zone climate control, leather seats, the ambient LED lighting package, and a grey 'contrasting lower metallic paint finish' for the exterior.

Jumping to the Launch Edition, priced from $52,750 before on-roads, adds equipment like 19-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, privacy glass, folding mirrors, an auto-dimming interior mirror, electric/heated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and adaptive cruise control.

Regardless of model, the interior features Audi's latest infotainment system with standard virtual cockpit, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging and DAB radio.
