Holden offering seven years free servicing on Acadia, Colorado 4×4, Trailblazer

Holden will offer seven years of free servicing to Colorado 4x4, Trailblazer and Acadia buyers, as it looks to boost sales coming into the end of 2019.

The offer applies to cars delivered between October 1 and December 31, 2019, representing a saving of more than $3000 in the case of the Colorado ute and Trailblazer seven-seat SUV.

Buyers of the Holden's rival to the Toyota Kluger, the seven-seat Acadia, stand to save more than $2150.

The four-wheel drive Colorado is sitting on 11,056 registrations to date in 2019, an incremental (0.2 per cent) increase over last year's sales.

It currently in fourth place behind the Toyota HiLux, Ford Ranger and Mitsubishi Triton in the 4x4 ute class, although the Isuzu D-Max and Nissan Navara both trail more than 3000 sales behind the Colorado in fifth and sixth places respectively.

An update released in June brought about new variants and a range of accessory packs, along with a smattering of minor spec changes for the 2020 model year, as Holden pushes to keep it forefront of mind.

Meanwhile, the seven-seat Acadia has 1917 registrations to date in 2019, barely 500 behind the Kia Sorento. It has just over 200 sales more than the Nissan Pathfinder, despite the Nissan's long history Down Under.

Finally, the Trailblazer trails the Isuzu MU-X, Ford Everest, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the ute-based SUV segment, sitting on 1816 registrations in 2019. Holden has, however, grown its sales by 3.6 per cent so far this year.

Andre Scott, general manager of Colorado marketing, said the "seven years’ free servicing is an example of Holden ‘putting its money where its mouth is’ in what is an incredibly competitive segment where competitors typically offer ‘capped price’ servicing schemes for up to six years".
