2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE recalled

An issue with the fuel filler neck has forced 12 luxury SUVs back to the dealership.

Mercedes-Benz has recalled the 2019 GLE, over concerns about the joint between the fuel filler neck and fuel tank.

According to the company, some cars could have an inadequately sealed joint between the fuel tank and fuel filler neck, possibly creating a fuel leak.

If fuel comes into contact with the car's hot exhaust parts, there's a fire risk.

A total of 12 cars are included in the recall – a VIN list is attached here.

Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer. The original recall notice is here.
