Lamborghini hypercar teased… again

Lamborghini has once again teased its upcoming hypercar, which looks more and more likely to put the Terzo Millenio's wild looks and forward-looking powertrain into production.

The latest preview image follows last week's shadowy teaser, and confirms the production car will share plenty with Lamborghini's concept tie-up with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – at least, it'll get the same light signature and low front end.

Launched in 2017, the Terzo Millennio was a forward-thinking concept designed to usher Lamborghini into the electric era. Its design was allowed by compact in-wheel motors, while the body is built using new, exciting materials capable of monitoring their own condition and alerting the driver to any issues.

Rather than pure-electric power, there's talk the production version will debut hybrid power for the Lamborghini brand. It could also open the door for a Lamborghini entrant to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) hypercar class.

More will be revealed when the new model is revealed at the Frankfurt motor show next week.
