Lamborghini teases new concept for Frankfurt

Lamborghini has teased a new concept vehicle it plans to reveal at the Frankfurt motor show last month, posting a single shadowy image to its social media profiles.

Not much is known about the vehicle, though the Raging Bull does say in its social media captions that the new model will "open your eyes to the future".

It's reported that the Lamborghini concept could be a near-production version of the Terzo Millennio concept (below) revealed in 2017, which was a collaboration between the Italian supercar specialist and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The teaser image shows a front-on view of the new vehicle, which has the Lamborghini badge front and centre, flanked by Y-shaped LED daytime-running lights that look almost identical to those of the Terzo Millennio.

Should the rumours prove to be true, the concept could be a first proper look at the next-generation flagship in the brand's range, which should either be hybridised or fully electric.

It's unclear, however, whether this vehicle will preview the replacement for the current V12-powered Aventador, or serve as a precursor to an even wilder flagship to rival the likes of the Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG One.

We'll find out more when Lamborghini unveils its new model at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Stay tuned for our coverage.
