2016-20 Maserati Ghibli, Levante recalled

Maserati Australia has issued a recall for the 2016 to 2020 model-year Ghibli sedan and Levante SUV over concerns models fitted with LED headlights could have faulty parts.

The Italian marque reports "due to a factory fault, the full LED headlights setting may not be assembled correctly".

Should the condition occur, "the full LED headlights setting may beam excessively high light towards oncoming vehicles, increasing the risk of an accident for oncoming vehicles".

There's 166 vehicles affected in total, sold from 1 October 2017 through 31 July 2019 – a VIN list is available here.

Owners of the recalled Maseratis will be contacted by mail, and advised to make an appointment with their preferred dealer to have the repair work carried out, free of charge.

You can access the original recall here for more information.
