2020 Nissan Juke teased… again

The next-generation Nissan Juke has been previewed once again, this time with a set of official camouflaged images from the Japanese manufacturer.

Scheduled to be revealed next month – likely at the Frankfurt motor show –  the new Juke gets a coupe-aping silhouette like the outgoing model, and will offer alloy wheels up to 19 inches in diameter, reiterating its more athletic pitch.

Nissan has confirmed the Juke will become the third model in its European line-up to offer its semi-autonomous ProPilot suite of driving technologies, while a larger footprint should improve space in the cabin for both the driver and passengers.

The second-generation Juke will arrive nearly a decade since the popular original made its debut, having sold over 1 million units in its first iteration alone.

Speaking with CarAdvice, a spokesperson for Nissan Australia said: "The new Nissan Juke is a car that we are interested in, we believe it will resonate well with Australian buyers".

However, the local arm hasn't confirmed if and when the new crossover is scheduled to hit Australian showrooms.

Sales of Nissan's entry-level crossover are a fraction of what they once were. Last month just 38 units were registered, down on the already low 56-unit volume of the same month in 2018. Rewind to a few years ago, the Juke was doing around four to five times that sales volume.
