Cupra teases interior of its new EV concept

Cupra, the new standalone performance brand from Spanish Volkswagen Group subsidiary Seat, has previewed its all-electric concept once again ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month.

Said to create "a true sense of performance pedigree in a purposeful design", Cupra claims its EV concept offers a glimpse at "what the future of personal mobility can be".

In the single teaser image of the cockpit, we can see a sporty steering wheel and digital instrument cluster, with Audi R8-like ignition and drive mode buttons on the steering wheel, while the Virtual Cockpit display has a large central tachometer with digital speedo and g-force monitor.

We first saw a preview of this new model a month ago, which appears to take the form of a slinky SUV coupe. Cupra has already said the concept vehicle will utilise a high-performance electric powertrain.

Being an EV, the Cupra concept is likely based on the Volkswagen Group's scalable MEB architecture for electric vehicles, which will serve the basis of the German automotive giant's upcoming ID. EV family, and already underpins the likes of the Audi e-tron quattro SUV.

Further details about the all-electric Cupra concept will be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show, with a "digital reveal" scheduled for September 2. Stay tuned for our coverage.
