Aston Martin is getting closer to revealing its first-ever SUV, using social media to once again tease the 2020 DBX.
The focus of the latest teaser is the grille, which is the clearest link between the DBX and its coupe-bodied stablemates. It's unquestionably an Aston Martin grille, flanked by LED fog lights and rounded headlamps.
Based on previous teasers, we already know a fair bit about the DBX. We know it'll have pumped-up front guards and a sloping, coupe-like roofline, and tail-lights inspired by those of the Vantage.
Spy pictures have previously revealed the interior will dig deep into the Mercedes-Benz parts bin for infotainment, although there's no mention of the cabin in the latest Aston Martin materials.
Aston has revealed it's targeting the Porsche Cayenne with its first-ever crossover, revealing it's "probably one of the best" handlers in the SUV world.
The company is also aiming for Range Rover levels of refinement. No pressure.
We're expecting some clever tech to feature, with Drift Mode on the cards. As for power? We're expecting the DBX to have a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine under the bonnet, mated with a permanent all-wheel drive system capable of shifting its torque split as required.
Based on what we've seen from the Vantage, we'd suggest the car will offer around 375kW and 685Nm.
Aston Martin will reveal the DBX in December. Stay tuned for our coverage.
