Rolls-Royce Pebble Beach 2019 Pastel Collection revealed

Rolls-Royce has shown off a trio of special vehicles based on the Ghost, Dawn and Wraith Black Badge for the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, with bespoke exterior colours and appointments.

Dubbed the Pebble Beach 2019 Pastel Collection, the eye-catching models all feature a paint finish inspired by "this year's 'wildflower superbloom' on the Monterey Peninsula" which the company says helps to 'reaffirm' the idea that a Black Badge model "doesn't have to be black".

First is the special Ghost Black Badge finished in 'Light Green Solid', a pastel green exterior finish that "represents the rebirth of the flora on the peninsula following the years of drought and fire".

The interior of the Ghost is upholstered in Black leather with splashes of 'Serenity Green' accented with Black Badge 'technical fibre' trim.

Next is the a Dawn Black Badge finished in 'Coral Solid', an eye-popping pastel pink that's been treated to seven coats of paint and more than nine hours of hand polishing at Rolls-Royce's Surface Finish Centre in Goodwood.

The exterior colour also adorns the 'Bespoke Aero Cowling', while the interior upholstery is Arctic White and Sunset which evokes "the visual imagery of the blooming northern California hills and valleys".

Finally, there's the Wraith Black Badge finished in Semaphore Yellow. Rolls-Royce describes the colour as "a bright and sunny finish for the most powerful member of the Rolls-Royce family".

Inside, the bespoke Wraith gets a Selby Grey and Lemon interior with the company's signature Starlight Headliner.

"Every year, thousands of Rolls-Royce patrons come together for Monterey Car Week. It’s one of our most important family gatherings around the world, especially for our American owners," said Martin Fritsches, president for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America.

"This year we present the largest offering of Rolls-Royce motor cars ever and in the most vivid Bespoke colours and configurations in history."

For Monterey Car Week the British marque is presenting a total of 13 bespoke commissions, including special examples of the Phantom flagship limousine, and the Cullinan 'high-sided vehicle' – Rolls-Royce's term for 'SUV'.

All up, the Pebble Beach 2019 Collection includes one Phantom, four Cullinans, four Dawns, two Ghosts and two Wraiths.
