McLaren GT by MSO revealed

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has had its way with the new McLaren GT, revealing a special one-off for the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The headlining exterior change to the MSO GT is the paint. It's a new colour called Defined Flux Silver, combined with Satin Graphite paint on the door skirts, front splitter, wing mirrors, rear bumper and diffuser.

The darker shade of Satin Graphite has also been applied to the brake calipers, while the exterior window surrounds, exhaust finisher and diamond-cut wheels are part of the MSO Bright Pack.

Special attention has been paid to the interior, where the MSO team has kitted the cabin out in something it's calling MSO Bespoke Geoform Stitching.

The pattern is applied to the seats, sun visor, door cards and armrests, and is designed to reference the canopy design of the British Museum. The seats are trimmed in a metallic white leather, contrasting with satin graphite leather to create a similar effect to that offered on the exterior.

There are silver-infused carbon highlights scattered throughout as well, while the Electrochromic Roof, painted key and unique floor mats are all finished in silver to meet the theme.

Power in the MSO GT comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 putting out 456kW and 630Nm, good for a 3.2-second run to 100km/h and a top speed of 326km/h.

"The McLaren GT defies the rules of a conventional Grand Tourer – it maintains the McLaren DNA of a lightweight and engaging drive, while adding in the space, comfort and usability expected of a GT," said Ansar Ali, MSO MD.

"We believe that the McLaren GT has class leading elegance and sophistication, and is the perfect car to further personalise, whether it be through an MSO Defined or MSO Bespoke option, or alternatively, a unique, customer inspired design that MSO delivers a stunning interpretation of."
