2020 Lexus LC500 Inspiration Series revealed, here Q4

Lexus USA has revealed the 2020 LC500 Inspiration Series, a special-edition version of its V8-powered flagship coupe donning an exclusive colour scheme.

Finished in Nori Green Pearl exterior paint – also known as Khaki Metal, available on the UX crossover – the pearlescent green finish is complemented by a model-specific two-tone interior colourway blending Saddle Tan and Black Amber semi-aniline leather.

The interior also features brown Alcantara accents in the door panels which Lexus says "adds a soft, inviting feel to the cabin", along with contrasting brown top-stitching which "ties the darker trim together with the seats".

Each example of the 2020 LC500 Inspiration Series will also get a custom sill plate marking the car's "limited-edition nature", which are laser cut and mounted in the door openings.

Power comes from the familiar 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 developing 471hp (351kW) paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential on the rear axle. Lexus' American arm claims a 0-60mph (0-97km/h) time of 4.4 seconds.

The 2020 Lexus LC500 Inspiration Series is limited to just 100 units in the US, and will go on sale during the North American fall (from September). Pricing for the region will be announced closer to launch.

Australia

Speaking with Drive, a Lexus Australia spokesperson confirmed a limited allocation of green LC500 vehicles will be heading here before the end of the year.

"We are able to confirm this very special LC will be available to a select number of Lexus Australia customers from the fourth quarter of 2019, with further details to follow closer to its arrival," the spokesperson said.

It isn't be the first time the local arm has brought a special-edition version of the LC to Australia, given the Zinnia Yellow Edition and Morphic Blue Edition have been offered locally.
