2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio facelift spied inside and out

Crossover looks set to gain minor exterior and interior updates to keep it fresh against newer competition.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio update has been spied again, this time during hot weather testing in southern Europe.

Despite the presence of camouflage tape all over the front and rear bumpers, it's genuinely difficult to discern many changes between these prototypes and the vehicles available in showrooms today.

Although the vehicle seen here still sports the same headlights and tail-lights as the current production model, we do expect to see LED headlamp technology and, possibly, new graphics at the back.

Our spy photography team managed to snap a photo or two of the Stelvio's interior completely undisguised, and, well, it looks pretty much like the current version.

The only significant change we can spot is in the centre tunnel, with the electronic parking brake moving up next to the transmission lever. As a consequence, the area just in front of the central armrest has been reworked slightly.

As with most other mid-life updates, equipment levels and trim choices are likely to be revised too.

Given how little disguise has been applied to the car, and the fact the Stelvio made its debut back in 2016, we believe the updated model could step out officially some time this year.
