Nissan Australia has detailed the revised 2019 Navara ute range, headlined by the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality on select variants.
The SL, ST and ST-X variants all get a new 8.0-inch ‘Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment’ system (AIVI) which features the aforementioned smartphone mirroring software along with a new interface, AM/FM radio, USB, AUX and Bluetooth connections.
Compared to the outgoing range, the SL grade's equipment levels are up on the previous models. The 5.0-inch screen has been updated and now offers navigation through smartphone mirroring, while ST and ST-X variants get a new inbuilt TomTom satellite navigation system.
The previous model’s CD player has been deleted, though.
SL, ST and ST-X grades also get a new black headlight bezels, while the ST now gets black side steps.
Pricing remains unchanged across the line-up despite these changes, with the Navara Dual Cab ST 4x2 the cheapest way into an AIVI-equipped Nissan ute starting from $40,800 plus on-road costs. As before, metallic paint commands a $595 premium.

Based on the top-spec ST-X Dual Cab, the N-Trek gets a slew of cosmetic and equipment upgrades to give it a more distinctive look and feel.
Starting at $56,450 plus on-road costs with a six-speed manual and $58,950 plus on-road costs for the seven-speed auto, the N-Trek gains a black-pack style upgrade including 18-inch black alloy wheels, black wheel arch extensions, a black alloy sports bar, black lower body side decals, black LED headlight bezels, black side steps with orange accent, black lower front fascia with orange accent, black mirror caps with orange accent, a black rear bumper, front grille, fog-light surrounds, door handles and roof rails.
Inside, the black/orange theme continues with black partial leather trim with orange fabric inserts, heated front seats, orange accent stitching throughout the cabin, and electric adjustment for the driver’s seat including lumbar. The N-Trek also benefits from the updated 8.0-inch AIVI navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Something worth noting is the N-Trek is unavailable with the optional sunroof like the ST-X on which it’s based.
The updated Nissan Navara range is on sale now.
Note: We’re waiting for local images, so the grey ute you see here is the Navara N-Guard from Europe which has some similarities to the N-Trek
