Alpina is readying a BMW X7-based model with more than 440kW, according to new reports from the USA.
If that's the case, the XB7 would have a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine under the bonnet making 447kW and 900Nm, the latter of which is on tap between 2000 and 5000rpm.
Based on the wider range of Alpina models, the XB7 should get a subtle makeover with a deeper front bumper and the brand's traditional alloy wheels. A set of pinstripes could also be in the offing, given the graphics offered on the wider Alpina line-up.
In the B7 xDrive, that's enough for a 3.5-second sprint to 100km/h and a top speed of 330km/h. We'd wager the bigger, heavier X7 won't be quite that quick.
It hits 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds from standstill, and wears a raft of M Performance add-ons to separate it from garden-variety models.
