2019 Audi A6 pricing and specs

Audi Australia has announced pricing and specifications for the all-new A6 sedan, on sale now from $95,500 before on-road costs.

The new-generation E-Class and 5 Series fighter arrives in two engine variants – 45 TFSI and 55 TFSI – both with 48V mild-hybrid technology and quattro all-wheel drive as standard.

Standard equipment from the base grade (45 TFSI quattro) includes 19-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, heated front seats, a dual-screen MMI touch system (10.1-inch top and 8.6-inch bottom screens), Audi Virtual Cockpit, wireless phone charging, and Audi Connect plus services.

The Australian line-up will get the full suite of driver assist systems as standard, too, including adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, 360-degree cameras with kerb view function, front and rear parking sensors, Audi pre sense front and rear (AEB and rear-end collision detection), active lane assist, collision avoidance assist (emergency manoeuvre assistance), intersection assist and exit warning.

Audi claims the new A6 boasts $13,000 of extra equipment over the previous-generation model.

Stepping up to the 45 TFSI quattro S line bumps the starting price up to $105,200 plus on-road costs, and brings the S line exterior package, 20-inch alloy wheels in V-spoke design, adaptive damper control, sports front seats, Valcona leather upholstery, illuminated door sill trims with ‘S’ design, and a head-up display.

The 45 TFSI quattro models are powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which develops 180kW between 5000 and 6500rpm, and 370Nm between 1600 and 4500rpm, augmented by a 48V mild-hybrid system. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic.

Atop the local range is the 55 TFSI quattro S line, priced from $116,000 before on-road costs. Specification mirrors that of the 45 TFSI quattro S line in terms of standard equipment, though a more powerful 250kW/500Nm 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine lives under the bonnet.

Like the 45 TFSI, the 55 TFSI sends drive to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and also features 48V mild-hybrid tech.

Both S line models will be available with the Premium plus package ($9800), which adds HD Matrix LED headlights, the S line interior package, privacy glass, panoramic glass sunroof, Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, electric steering column adjustment, an electronically-operated bootlid, and the colour interior lighting package.

The Audi A6 range will launch with the 55 TFSI quattro S line, with 45 TFSI quattro S line models to arrive “soon after”.
