2010 Jeep Cherokee recalled

More than 50 SUVs have been recalled, over concerns about an issue with the brake pedal linkage.

Fiat Chrysler Australia has recalled the 2010 Jeep Cherokee over concerns about the brake pedal linkage clip.

According to the company, the car might be fitted with an incorrectly-manufactured brake pedal clip, which could make the brake booster input rod detach from the brake pedal.

If the brake booster detaches from the pedal, the car could lose its brakes, increasing the risk of injury or accident to the driver and other road users.

A total of 55 vehicles are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Fiat Chrysler will contact owners of the impacted vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealership. The original recall notice is attached here.
