BMW 3 Series Touring, 8 Series Gran Coupe get M Performance Parts

BMW has revealed a new range of M Performance Parts for the all-new 3 Series Touring and 8 Series Gran Coupe.

There has been a slew of performance-themed accessories for the company’s latest releases.

The 8 Series Gran Coupe is available with a carbon-fibre front grille and side mirrors, along with the side gills. Buyers of the 3 Series Touring, meanwhile, can opt for carbon-fibre mirrors and a rear diffuser insert – which is also available in gloss black.

Special light alloy wheel options are on offer, too, including 20-inch alloys for the 8er Gran Coupe (in two designs), and 18s for the 3 Series Touring.

Behind the optional wheels are available performance brake systems for both cars (19-inch on the 8 Series and 18-inch on the 3 Series), which are both claimed to enhance braking ‘effect’ in “extreme conditions”.

Rounding out the exterior accessories are aero-enhancing bumper and side skirt extensions for the 3 Series Touring, along with a roof-mounted rear spoiler, all finished in gloss black. M Performance decals can be had for both models.

There’s carbon-fibre components available for the cabin ornamentation, too, as are Alcantara-trimmed steering wheels with carbon-fibre inserts, M Performance floor mats, LED door projectors with the M Performance logo, and special key holders.

Other cabin accessories include stainless steel pedals, which the company says are “derived from motor racing”, along with M Performance wheel bags for the alternative alloy wheel options.

Beyond the upgrades for the 3 Series Touring and 8 Series Gran Coupe, BMW M has also released some accessories for the updated X1 SUV (below), though has only provided a single image.

Available options include carbon-fibre mirror caps, high-gloss black front grille, 20-inch black alloys, Alcantara steering wheel, LED door projectors, and M Performance floor mats.

Australia

Speaking with Drive BMW Australia confirmed select accessories from the new M Performance Parts catalogue will be available for the 3 Series Touring, 8 Series Gran Coupe, and updated X1.

The 8 Series Gran Coupe will offer the carbon-fibre exterior bits, while the 3 Series Touring will mirror the sedan’s offerings bar the front splitter and rear spoiler options.

For the X1, just the carbon mirrors will be available at this stage. Expected arrival is during the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.
