Trouble with the left-rear window on a batch of Yaris models has forced them back to the dealership.

Toyota has recalled the 2019 Yaris over concerns about the left-rear window glass.

According to the company, the glass may have been inadequately tempered because of an improper cooling process during manufacture. If the glass is broken it won't shatter into small pieces, instead breaking into large fragments, increasing occupants' risk of injury in an accident.

A total of 26 cars are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Toyota will contact owners of the affected cars and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
