2020 Renault Zoe leaked

The next-gen Zoe will look a lot like the current car, albeit with some new detailing up front if this leak is any guide.

The new (yes, it really is new) Renault Zoe has leaked online, ahead of its expected reveal at the Frankfurt motor show in September.

A single image of the electric supermini's front end appeared on The Automobilist on Instagram, revealing its slightly edgier evolution of the current nose.

There's copper detailing on the lower air intake, while the giant badge and wind-shaped black trim call the new Clio to mind. You're certainly going to know it's a Renault.

No details about the interior or rear were included in the leak, but we have a few ideas. Spy pictures have revealed a slightly larger body, and we're expecting the cabin to follow in the Clio's footsteps, with a large central touchscreen and nicer, more upmarket materials.

Under the skin, we're expecting the Zoe to get a 50kWh battery and a range around 400km on the combined cycle. That would put it well clear of the Nissan Leaf, but leave it lagging behind the Hyundai Kona Electric.

There's 100kW CCS 2 fast charging expected to feature, but 22kW AC charging is likely to carry over for home wall box users.
