2020 Holden Colorado pricing and specs

Holden has released the details on its 2020 Colorado, which builds upon a 2016 facelift of the four- and two-wheel drive, 2.8-litre diesel ute.

It's not an all-new model (yet), and this update isn't as dramatic as the facelifts Mitsubishi and Ford have given their utes recently. There are some changes, however. The biggest is two new permanent additions to the range.

Firstly, the LSX is here to stay. Based on the LS-specification, the LSX is only available as a crew-cab. It cops the full black-pack treatment with fender flares and a blacked-out sports bar, grille, steps and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The entry level Colorado is still the LS model, which gets by with only an updated grille. Pricing starts at $31,690 before on-road costs with an automatic gearbox for the LS single cab-chassis.

Next up is the LSX, which gets a soft tonneau cover, DAB radio and central tailgate locking atop the black-pack features mentioned earlier. Listed price for the Colorado LSX is $46,990 before on-roads with a manual, or $49,190 with the automatic gearbox.

The majority of Colorado sales lie with the LTZ, which gains heated (front) leather leather seats. Holden's new spray-in tub liner, dubbed 'DuraGuard' is also now standard for the LTZ.

Aside from the new additions, the LTZ benefits from Holden's 8.0-inch infotainment display, which has embedded satellite navigation and voice recognition. There's forward collision warning and lane departure warning from a safety point of view, with head-up display.

Folding, heated chrome side mirrors, an electrochromic rearview mirror, remote start, climate control, an electric driver's seat and front park assist also feature on the LTZ. Rounding out the package is a sports bar, tyre pressure monitoring,18-inch alloys, fog lights and carpeted floors.

Colorado LTZ pricing starts at $50,490 for the Crew Cab manual, or $52,690 for the Crew Cab automatic. It can also be had as a Space Cab for $51,190 – but it's automatic only.

A slight variation on the LTZ is the LTZ+, which also packs a tow-bar as standard for $51,520 (manual) or $53,720 (auto). It was added to get the payload under one tonne, and make it more attractive to those looking to finance a four-wheel drive ute on a novated lease.

Atop of the pile is the Z71, which gets a different look from its Z71-specific decals, black 18-inch alloys and different body details. There's a unique folding soft tonneau cover, some underbody protection and a gas-strut operated soft-drop tailgate.

The Colorado Z71 has a list price of $54,990 (manual) or $57,190 (automatic).

Towing capacity is 3500kg across the range, while payloads vary according to the body type and specification. For those looking for some additional customisation off the showroom floor, Holden also has five different accessory packs prepared for the Colorado range, depending on what you're looking for.
