2020 Renault Koleos facelift unveiled

Renault has unveiled a facelift for the its Nissan X-Trail-based Koleos SUV in Europe.

The Koleos' exterior has been freshened with a new front bumper, which now features a full-width piece of chrome and a new skid plate element.

The rear bumper also benefits from more chrome, and a more prominent diffuser. Other changes include new-look 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels, and a new Vintage Red paint option.

In Europe, the Koleos is available with two new turbo-diesel engines: a 110kW/340Nm 1.8-litre BlueDCi 150 mill, and a 140kW/380Nm 2.0-litre BlueDCi 190 motor.

Both engines are fitted with a continuously variable transmission as standard. In Europe, all-wheel drive is available on the BlueDCi 190.

Upgrades to the interior include extendable front seat cushions, a reclining rear bench, a massaging unit built into the driver's seat, and upgraded soft-touch materials.

As before, the Koleos is available with either a 7.0-inch landscape or 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen. The R-Link system is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and now supports full screen display with Apple devices.

The car's two USB ports have been moved to a more convenient location in front of the base of the gear shifter. The autonomous emergency braking system now includes pedestrian detection in urban situations.

Australia

"Renault Australia can confirm that we will be launching this face lifted Koleos by the end of 2019," a spokesperson for the company said.

"At this stage our current engine line-up will remain unchanged when we launch the facelifted Koleos."
