Lamborghini has given its entry-level supercar a dash of off-road ability, this morning revealing the Huracan Sterrato concept.
The high(er)-riding Sterrato is powered by the same naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 used in the Huracan Evo, making the same 477kW. Also standard is all-wheel drive, four-wheel steering, and torque vectoring.
According to Lamborghini, the Sterrato's drivetrain has been tuned to provide "enhanced rear-wheel drive behaviour", and to provide extra stabilisation during oversteering manoeuvres.
For the Sterrato the Huracan's front and rear track is been extended by 30mm. As such, there are new wide body wheel arch protectors with integrated air intakes, and 20-inch wheels fitted with balloon tyres.
Compared to the regular Huracan, ground clearance has been raised by 47mm with an approach angle improved by 1.0%, and a 6.5% better departure angle.
The suspension has been retuned for off-road driving, and protection has been added to the car's underbody, including a front aluminium skid plate, aluminium-reinforced side skirts, and a rear skid plate which doubles as a diffuser.
The stone deflectors around the engine and air intakes, as well as the mud guards, are made from a carbon-fibre and elastomeric resin composite material.
An LED light bar has been added to the Huracan's roof, and there are also two LED lighting pods on the front bumper.
Inside the cabin, the Huracan Sterrato features a titanium roll cage, carbon bi-shell seats with four-point seatbelts, and aluminium floor panels.
