2018-19 Mahindra XUV500 recalled

Over 80 cars have been recalled over the risk they'll enter 'limp home mode' when both pedals are pressed at the same time.

Mahindra has recalled the 2018 and 2019 XUV500 SUV over concerns about the car entering 'limp home mode'.

According to the company, pressing the brake and accelerator at the same time could make the car enter 'limp home mode'. Although the engine doesn't cut out, engine and road speeds are restricted, increasing your risk of accident.

A total of 83 cars are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Mahindra will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to arrange a free software update with their nearest dealer.
