2020 Toyota Supra pricing and specs

Following preliminary prices surfacing earlier today, Toyota's local arm has confirmed full details for the all-new Supra ahead of online orders opening on June 19.

Toyota Australia has officially released pricing and specification details for the long-awaited Supra sports car, set to kick off at $84,900 plus on-roads when it touches down later this year.

After preliminary information leaked earlier today, the company's local division has confirmed the reborn nameplate will be offered in two guises – base 'GT' and top-spec 'GTS'.

Standard equipment in the Supra GT includes keyless entry and start, carbon-look interior trim, eight-way power adjustment and heating for the sports seats, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control wireless phone charging, an electrochromatic rear-view mirror, LED headlights, electric folding and heated side mirrors, and 18-inch alloys.

Other standard features include autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control lane departure warning, automatic high-beam, speed sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear view-camera.

Moving up to the Supra GTS (from $94,900) brings a head-up display, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, upgraded sports brakes with red calipers, a 12-speaker JBL premium audio system, along with the option of red leather-accented or Alcantara upholstery ($2500).

Regardless of trim level, all Supra models at launch are powered by a BMW-sourced 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six, making 250kW of power and 500Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic and active rear differential.

Toyota officially claims the Supra can dash from 0-100 in just 4.4 seconds, and hit a top speed of 250km/h – not that you'll really get to test out the latter in strictly-governed Australia.

Seven standard colours will be offered for the local Supra range, each named after a famous race track – Fuji White, Suzuka Silver, Goodwood Grey, Monza Red, Silverstone Yellow, Le Mans Blue and Bathurst Black.

The GTS variant will exclusively be offered with an additional Nurburg Matte Grey colour option, too ($2500).

Online reservations for the all-new Toyota Supra will open June 19 at 12:00pm AEST, which includes a $1000 reservation fee that is fully refundable.

The site will remain open until approximately 100 reservations have been confirmed, then a randomised balloting process will allocate the first 100 reservations which will then have the opportunity to complete the full registration process.

Once a Toyota concierge gets in contact, you will be required to select your grade and colour, then $4000 deposit will be required to secure your order.

Just 300 units are available for the first 12 months Down Under, meaning you'll need to be very quick and/or very lucky to get your hands on the first batch of vehicles.
