Mini 60 Years Edition pricing and specs

Mini Australia has detailed the new 60 Years Edition, which is available to order now.

Several variations are on offer: 3 Door and 5 Door hatchbacks, along with Cooper and Cooper S trim levels.

Depending on specification, the 60 Years Edition offers around $8500 of extra value for an additional $4000 outlay, according to the local division, with a range of exterior, interior and equipment upgrades compared to standard models.

As standard, the Mini 60 Years Edition gets British Racing Green exterior paint, contrasted with Pepper White roof and mirrors, along with special-edition bonnet stripes and model specific 17-inch alloy wheels.

Various references to the '60 Years' milestone are scattered throughout, including on the bonnet stripes, fender badges, and the interior.

Inside, there's Mini Yours Leather Lounge upholstery in Dark Cacao brown with contrast piping in green. There's a dash insert specific to the 60 Years model, along with Piano Black door bezels and '60 Year' detailing on the seats.

Extra features that are normally optional include keyless access, LED headlights, heated front seats, and wireless phone charging.

Opting for the Cooper S (from $43,900) bolsters this further with the addition of a panoramic glass sunroof, premium Harman Kardon HiFi sound system and a head-up display.

Buyers who aren't keen on the green exterior and brown interior can have several alternative colour and trim options, including Midnight Black or Lapis Luxury Blue exterior paint, a Jet Black contrasting roof and mirror finish, along with Carbon Black leather trim with no piping or detailing.

Carryover specification for Cooper models include a 100kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged three-pot petrol engine, a 6.5-inch Mini Navigation system with real-time traffic updates, wireless Apple CarPlay integration (three-year subscription), rear-view camera with parking sensors, along with idle stop/start technology.

The Cooper S, meanwhile, gets a more powerful 141kW/280Nm 2.0-litre turbo four, and selectable drive modes – the extra features added to Cooper models as part of the 60 Years Edition are standard on the Cooper S. Both variants come with six-speed manuals as standard, with seven-speed dual-clutch automatics optional.
