2020 BMW M8 to get adaptive braking system

BMW has offered a teaser of its upcoming M8 Coupe and Convertible, revealing details about its highly customisable M Mode.
Modern performance cars will let you tweak essentially every facet of their driving experience. Throttle response, engine noise, steering weight – they're all changeable, depending on the driver's mood.

Now, BMW M GmbH plans on adding yet another option to the M Mode in the upcoming M8: braking. By combining the brake actuators, booster and control module, BMW says it's been able to shave 2kg and remove the need for a vacuum booster.
According to the company, its new 'integrated braking system' does an "excellent job of allowing vehicle deceleration to be geared precisely to the driver’s requirements and of generating sublime pedal feel in any situation".
We'll have to wait for the car's launch to actually put that to the test, of course. Drivers are able to choose between Comfort and Sport tunes for the brake pedal. The former offers a longer, more progressive pedal and the latter defaults to sharp, instant response.
The standard steel and optional carbon-ceramic brakes will both offer multiple modes.
BMW has also previewed the car's fully digital instrument binnacle, which will get a unique layout. The speedo is given pride of place with gear position, flanked by a vertically-oriented rev counter.
The little 4WD indicator in the bottom of the cluster would suggest the M8 will get the M5's Drift Mode, capable of decoupling the front driveshafts for slidey, tail-out action. BMW has also modified its head-up display, which nails down the information shown to the bare essentials.
