2020 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe spied

Facelifted luxury coupe spotted with revised fascias, with anticipated upgrades including MBUX and more 48V MHEV powertrains.

Photographers have snapped the upcoming mid-life refresh for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe during development testing, ahead of a likely reveal later this year.

It appears there won't be any drastic changes to the vehicle's exterior design, with revised bumpers, grilles and lighting the main focus points.

Trainspotters will notice the slimmer headlights and new grille design, which will likely draw inspiration from the updated E-Class sedan and wagon that have been spied recently.

At the rear the changes look to be limited to the LED tail-lights, which should get subtle revisions as part of the update.

One of the major changes for the updated E-Class range should be the introduction of the intelligent MBUX infotainment system, which first debuted on the A-Class and has since rolled out across the likes of the refreshed GLC and all-new GLE and GLS.

Beyond the infotainment upgrade, there should be a more comprehensive and sophisticated suite of driver assist technologies, along with the wider adoption of 48V mild-hybrid technology, which the company dubs 'EQ Boost'.
