Just 100 HSV SportsCat RS utes will be built, but the key difference is the price.
Holden Special Vehicles has rolled out another limited-edition SportsCat ute, this time to fill the gap between the regular model and the flagship SportsCat Plus.
Priced from $63,990 plus on-road costs with a six-speed auto, the SportsCat RS slots between the $60,790 price of the regular model and $66,790 for the range-topping version.
Just 100 will be built (94 for Australia and six for New Zealand), starting from this month.
Available in 'Summit White' only, the RS edition gains flashes of red on the nose and flanks, and a large HSV logo decal on each rear fender.
The grille and lower fascia are also finished in gloss black rather than matte black and come with a gloss black splash tray. Red and black decals frame the edge of the bonnet and the genuine HSV hard tonneau.
The SportsCat RS gains the “bonnet bulge” previously reserved for the flagship model, and also wears the rugged wheel arch fender flares and matte black 18-x10-inch six-spoke forged alloy wheels from the SportsCat Plus.
As with the rest of the SportsCat range, the rims are wrapped in heavy-duty Cooper Zeon LTZ Pro Sports all-terrain tyres.
It also gains the genuine HSV hard tonneau cover and the tub has load rails with the provision of special accessories.
Inside, the RS gains the top model’s 'Premium SV' sports seats wrapped in Jasmine leather and Windsor suede.
The door trims, centre console cover and steering wheel have twin-needle red stitching for added differentiation.
Optional equipment includes the AP Racing brakes with four-piston forged brake calipers clamping 362mm x 32mm diameter rotors up front.
Standard safety fare includes seven airbags, forward collision alert, lane departure warning, trailer sway control, front and rear parking sensors and a rear camera.
Production is due to start in May ahead of showroom arrivals in June.
