665 vans could be fitted with faulty throttle bodies that could cause loss of engine power.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued a recall for the 2018 model-year Ducato van fitted with the 2.3-litre diesel over concerns vehicles could inadvertently lose power.

According to the Italian manufacturer, affected units could have throttle bodies that have been incorrectly manufactured, which could see the intercooler sleeve detach and cause the the engine malfunction light to illuminate.

Further to the warning light in the driver's instrument cluster, the engine may lose power too, posing a hazard to the driver and other road users.

A total of 665 vans are affected by this recall, sold between 31 May 2018 and 11 April 2019 – the VIN list is available here.

Owners are advised to contact their local Fiat Professional dealer to arrange the inspection and repair of their vehicle.
