Audi’s new five-year service plans detailed

One payment. Five years of convenient, comprehensive and all-inclusive genuine Audi servicing.

German luxury car maker Audi has extended its official maintenance-program packages from three to five years – saving owners approximately 30 per cent compared with the cost of individual annual services for the same timespan.

To debunk the myth that running costs for European luxury cars is expensive, the single, advance 5 Year Service Plan payment covers both scheduled and unscheduled services, plus any further servicing costs.

There’s also a bonus for performance enthusiasts: for the first time, Audi’s Service Plans now cover the company’s entire model range – including its flagship RS variants.

Audi Roadside Assistance coverage is also provided complimentary for up to six years thanks to Service Initiated Roadside Assistance being applied when owners return to their Audi centre for servicing in years three, four and five.

Service programs are conducted only by specially trained Audi technicians – using only Audi Genuine Parts and the latest diagnostic software to ensure all models are returned to owners in peak condition, and with peak performance.

The 5 Year Service Plan, which covers up to a maximum of 75,000 kilometres in the five-year period, alternates between Oil Services and Inspection Services.

While they differ in some key ways, both are comprehensive.

Oil Services – which start the five-year/75,000km program – include checks of the drivetrain, brake system, steering, computer systems, battery, exterior lights and interior lighting, tyres/wheels, exhaust system and underbody, oil levels, washer fluid, and adBlue top-up for diesel vehicles where applicable.

Inspection Services are staged first at 30,000km or 24 months, then at 60,000km or 48 months – whichever is sooner in each case. They include all elements of an Oil Service while adding areas such as suspension assessment, oil checks for automatic and manual gearboxes, new dust/pollen cabin filters, replacement of batteries for the remote entry key fob, sunroof check (where applicable), and brake fluid replacement.

All services incorporate a comprehensive road-test quality check, plus a complimentary external vehicle wash and interior vacuum.

Audi’s 5 Year Service Plans are available to those purchasing a brand new Audi – either at the time of vehicle purchase or at any time up to the first scheduled service, or 15,000km.

As an alternative to the one-off payment, owners can spread out their maintenance costs by incorporating the Service Plan into their finance contract – essentially turning them into instalments.

More good news for owners: The Service Plans are linked with the vehicle, so are transferable in the case of a change of vehicle ownership.
