2020 Bentley Flying Spur teased

To be unveiled later this year, the new sedan will likely feature W12, V8 and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

The first teasers for the new Bentley Flying Spur "four-door Grand Tourer" were issued overnight.

No specifics about the car have been revealed so far, but Bentley says the "full details of the new Flying Spur will be released later this year".

The brief video trailer reveals the new car's retractable flying B ornament, as well as the bonnet's chrome spine, and the upper section of the grille.

Bentley has also sketched out the car's side profile. The outline and spy photos indicate the new sedan will have softer detailing than today's car.

Like the latest Continental GT coupe and convertible models, the new Flying Spur will ride on the front-engine rear- and all-wheel drive MSB platform developed by Porsche.

As with the two-door cars, the Flying Spur will likely debut with the company's 467kW/900Nm 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine.

In the Continental, the W12 is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.

Further into the Flying Spur's life cycle, we expect to see the Continental's 405kW/770Nm 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 added to the range.

A plug-in hybrid variant is also in the works, with a prototype spotted earlier this year during cold weather testing.
