Toyota Europe has announced a limited run of C-HR Neon Lime powered by JBL editions, in partnership with the renowned audio specialist.

Finished in an exclusive Neon Lime metallic paint with contrasting black roof, the special-edition C-HR also gets 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels, and LED lighting at both ends.

Inside, there's black leather/Alcantara sports seats, "introduced uniquely for this version", according to Toyota's European division.

There's also the 360-degree JBL Music Experience Pack, which contains "a set" of JBL speakers (unknown number), a set of JBL headphones, and a six-month subscription with Deezer.

Power in the Neon Lime powered by JBL comes from the self-charging hybrid system offered with the C-HR in overseas markets, combining a 1.8-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an electric motor/generator and battery pack, with a claimed power output of 90kW.

Toyota tends to not quote system torque outputs for its hybrid powertrains, hence it isn't included here.

By comparison, the sole 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine available in Australian models develops 85kW and 185Nm.

The Toyota C-HR Neon Lime powered by JBL will go on sale in Europe from April 2019.

Speaking with CarAdvice, Toyota's local division ruled out the introduction of the Neon Lime for Australia, and was also unable to comment on future updates for the C-HR.

"The C-HR Neon Lime powered by JBL isn’t destined for Australian showrooms, we don’t have any updates for C-HR right now," said a spokesperson for Toyota Australia.
