2018 Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab recalled

Nearly 4800 examples of Isuzu's ute have been forced back to the dealership, over concerns about the leaf springs.

Isuzu Ute Australia has recalled the 2018 4x2 and 4x4 D-Max Crew Cab, over concerns about the car's rear leaf springs.

According to the company, the rear leaf spring could fracture because the front eye has a too-small diameter.

If the leaf spring fractures, there's a risk of the parking brake being applied because the rear axle is unsupported on the damaged side, putting owners and other road users at risk.

A total of 4717 units are included in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.

Isuzu will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix.
