2020 Range Rover Evoque pricing and specs

British marque's smallest model brings enhanced equipment and technology levels, though the entry price is $4000 steeper than before.

Land Rover Australia has released pricing and specifications for the new-generation Range Rover Evoque, which will be offered in seven trim levels with a total of six engines at launch.

Kicking off at $62,670 plus on-road costs for the entry-level Evoque S D150 and topping out at $96,090 for the flagship Evoque HSE R-Dynamic, the price of entry into the smallest Range Rover is up by over $4000 compared to the previous-generation 'Pure' grade, though there's more standard equipment across the range.

Depending on grade, there are between two and six powertrains to choose from, in addition to a plethora of options, some of which are no-cost (and some of which are fairly pricey).

At the entry level of the 26-variant range is the Evoque S, available with D150, D180, P200 and P250 engine variants – more on those later.

Standard equipment on the base model includes dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a 180W six-speaker sound system, a 10.0-inch touchscreen navigation system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, along with traffic sign recognition.

There's also 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with manual levelling, auto-dimming power-folding exterior mirrors with heating, and grained leather seats with 10-way power adjustment up front.

Stepping up to the Evoque R-Dynamic S bumps the entry price up to $65,650 before on-road costs with the P200 engine.

Additional specification over the S includes black gearshift paddles, the R-Dynamic exterior sports pack, different 18-inch alloys, chrome tread plates, an Ebony Morzine headliner, and bright metal pedals.

Next in the line-up is the Evoque SE (from $68,610), available with D150, D180, D240, P200, P250 and P300 powertrains.

Extra kit includes a memory function for the side mirrors, a powered tailgate, automatic high-beam assist, 'Premium' LED headlights with auto-levelling and 'signature' daytime-running lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, 14-way electric adjustment for the front seats, the dual-screen Touch Pro Duo infotainment setup, a digital driver's instrument display, Clear Exit Monitor, an automated park assistant, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Evoque R-Dynamic SE (from $71,590) bolsters the equipment list with the same sporty upgrades as the R-Dynamic S, along with alternate 20-inch alloy wheels.

Atop the core range is the Evoque HSE, which starts at $90,220 with the P300 petrol engine, and is also available with the D240 diesel motor.

Equipment highlights include gesture operation for the powered tailgate, diamond-turned 20-inch alloy wheels, extended leather upholstery for the cabin, quilted Windsor leather trim with 16-way powered front seats, soft-grain leather for the steering wheel with 'Atlas' bezels, the ClearSight rear-view mirror which projects a live stream from the rear-view camera, an upgraded 10-speaker Meridian sound system, keyless entry, blind-spot assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The Evoque R-Dynamic HSE starts at $94,100, and adds the sportier exterior and interior features as per other R-Dynamic models, and gets an alternate diamond-turned 20-inch rim design.

Finally, there will also be a First Edition variant available at launch, priced from $91,300 plus ORCs, available with the D180 and P250 powertrains.

Unique specification includes a contrasting black roof as standard (normally a $970 option), a fixed panoramic sunroof with powered blind (normally $2040), badge deletion, rear privacy glass, front fog-lights (normally $330), power washers for the headlights (normally $380), Matrix LED headlights with signature daytime-running lights (normally $1600-$3170), heated front seats – though it goes back to 14-way power adjustment with grained leather – carpet mats with 'First Edition' insignia, 'First Edition' script on the cabin trim inserts, illuminated tread plates with First Edition script, a heated steering wheel (normally $690), and an electrically-adjustable steering column (usually $380).

Other equipment highlights for the First Edition include configurable ambient interior lighting (normally $410), a head-up display (usually $1300), and a selection of three metallic paints (normally $1480) as no-cost options – Yulong White, Seoul Pearl Silver, and the model-exclusive Nolita Grey.

Now for the powertrains: there are three diesels and three petrols to choose from depending on grade, with the SE variants the only trim levels available with all six.

The base D150 features a 110kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel, while the D180 bumps those figures to 132kW and 430Nm. Atop the oiler range is the D240, which adds an extra turbo bumping outputs to 177kW and 500Nm.

Should you want petrol, there's the P200 147kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol, along with the P250 with a 183kW/365Nm version of the same engine. Select variants are also available with the P300, which gets a 221kW/400Nm tune of the 2.0-litre turbo.

All engines are 'Ingenium' modular units mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission sending drive to all four wheels, with All-Terrain Progress Control and Terrain Response 2 as standard.

SE and HSE models also get active drivelines as standard with the D240 and P300 powertrains.

As is the norm with Jaguar Land Rover products, there are too many options and option packs to list. Here's a run down of the main extra-cost packages.

The Cold Climate Convenience Pack ($1010) brings a heated windscreen and washer jets, along with a heated steering wheel.

Next is the Drive Pack ($1340, N/A for HSE) which adds technologies like blind-spot assist, adaptive cruise control and high-speed autonomous emergency braking.

S and SE models can be bolstered further with the Driver Assist Pack ($1830-2840) which brings the extra content of the Drive Pack while also adding a 360-degree camera, steering assist for the adaptive cruise control function, park assist and rear cross-traffic alert depending on model. HSE variants can opt for the Driver Assist pack for $490, adding just the 360-degree cameras and steering assist feature.

The S grades can be had with the Park Pack for $1010, which brings the Clear Exit Monitor, Park Assist, 360-degree sensors and rear cross-traffic alert features of higher grades.

Opting for the Interior Luxury Pack ($785) on S and SE grades adds soft-grain leather for the steering wheel and 'Atlas' bezels, along with extended leather trim.

Further to that, buyers of the S and SE models can add the Interior Luxury Pack Plus for $2910 which 'full extended leather upgrade' for the cabin.

The new-generation Evoque line-up is available to order now.
