CarAdvice on YourMoney, 20 March 2019: What’s on this week’s show?

CarAdvice airs Wednesdays at 7:30pm AEDT on free-to-air channel 95 and Foxtel channel 601.

On this week's episode of CarAdvice, Trent Nikolic and Paul Maric talk about fast BMWs, cycling lanes, and modifying off-roaders.

First up, Alpina has revealed the B7 xDrive, a BMW 7 Series capable of hitting 330km/h when faced with a long enough stretch of road.

The RACV has suggested bicycle superhighways could slash congestion in Melbourne. A total of 10 have been proposed, including Chapel and Church St in Richmond/South Yarra.

And finally, Amazon is pouring money into electric ute and SUV startup Rivian. The tech giant has injected US$700 million ($987 million) into the company.

Moving on...

Our off-road expert, Sam Purcell, has taken the Suzuki Jimny into the Victorian High Country to see what it's made off when the going gets tough. The boys chat about the little Suzuki off-roader, and what it's like. And there's a new Mazda 3, with a sharp new look and a more upmarket interior than ever before. How does it drive? Trent gives you the lowdown.

In advice, a viewer has noticed MG's success, and is curious about how the ZS crossover compares to the Volkswagen Polo as a city runabout. And a passionate off-roader is curious about whether the Ford Ranger Raptor is worth the spend over a base model, or whether they should modify a car themselves.

“CarAdvice” airs every Wednesday at 7:30pm AEDT on free-to-air channel 95 and Foxtel channel 601.
