2020 Porsche Taycan sketch sent to buyers

Digital wallpaper reveals some key styling details about the upcoming electric sedan, including the headlights, bumpers, and tail-lights.

Earlier this week, the sports car maker sent wallpaper links to prospective buyers of the Porsche Taycan sketching out the look of the production electric sedan.

These give us our first good look at the Taycan's head- and tail-lights, as well as the design of the front and rear bumpers.

As we've seen in earlier spy photos, the production Taycan stays pretty faithful to the Mission E concept that previewed it. Changes including a flatter roof line for improved head room along with easier ingress and egress.

The wheel arches have also been toned down, and the reverse-hinged rear doors ditched.

First deliveries of the new Taycan are scheduled to arrive in Europe and North America later this year, with vehicles set to arrive in Australia from 2020.

Naturally, full details about the Taycan have yet to be announced.

The company has, though, revealed some information about the top-spec model, which will have a two-motor all-wheel drive system with over 440kW and a 0-100km/h time of "well under" 3.5 seconds.

Driving range is said to exceed 500 kilometres, and the car will support 800V and 400V fast charging stations.

Porsche has 20,000 pre-orders for the Taycan already. The company had originally planned on making only 20,000 Taycans per annum.
